I’m Veronica Choulga, a 2D animator whose work is shaped by the surrealism of the Soviet cartoons I grew up with, particularly in my approach to atmosphere, character, and movement. I focus on character animation, using subtle gesture and expression to explore complex emotional dynamics.
I’ve been self-taught in animation for five years, grounded in a traditional art background with training in anatomy and oil painting at the Academy of Realist Art in Boston. I graduated with honors from the University of Chicago with a triple major in Economics, Art History, and Cinema & Media Studies, and I am currently pursuing an MFA in Animation at the USC School of Cinematic Arts.
I’m open to commissions and collaborations in 2D animation, character design, and visual storytelling.
